Blackman (Nisey), was born December 9, 1959 to the late Frizell Blackman in Pensacola, Florida. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louise Blackman and her mother Frizell Blackman, guardian, Florence and Barry Coleman. Carolyn D. Blackman was a kind-hearted, selfless mother, wife, and sister who unconditionally adored her friends and family. During her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Carolyn attended Heinold and later graduated from Aiken High School. She was a positive, high spirited individual, always willing to go the extra mile. In June of 2013, our angel was diagnosed and forced to battle stage 3 Lung Cancer. Although she was ill, she did not allow her sickness to overcome her. She maintained her optimistic characteristics as she fought for life, daily and never complained. Carolyn leaves not to mourn, but to cherish her memories: a loving husband, James Keith; her children, Rico Blackman (Cassandra), Amber Blackman, Unique Blackman (Anthony Walker), and Sasha Blackman; her sisters, Nedra Mitchell and Lashuana Blackman; her brother, Deon Blackman (Larissa Brassel Blackman); aunt, Mary Cody; uncle, Mickey Blackman; grandchildren, Rico Blackman Jr., E'Naiya Blackman, Edward Carter, Jr, Euriah Carter; nephews, Deandre, Lorenzo'Cody and Devin; her nieces, Briana and Bianca; honorary daughter, Monique West and a plethora of close friends.
