Obituary

Carol A. Swann was born in the Bronx, NY, on October 26, 1943, to Edna Hallums, Edward Grimes, her grandmother Mildred Hallums & Brother Lawrence Parks, all of whom preceded her in passing.

Carol attended Cummings & Sammuel Ach Schools. She had music endeavors with King Records, writing & recording songs like, "So Many Days" by The Vonns, & sang lead for the group "The Drivers."

She was employed by UC, Hyatt Hotel Cincinnati & Marriott Mason. Carol was a hard-worker & strong-willed woman; she instilled these traits in her children.

Carol did not like caterpillars, nor did she like her food being touched by bare hands. She was very feisty, outspoken, humorously sarcastic & had some of the funniest sayings. "Come here, let me tell you som'n in your mouth," and "Before the 1st thaw." Her favorite foods were ribs with anything, any kind of chocolate, souse meat with crackers, limburger cheese, butter pecan and peach ice cream, Pepsi, and cream soda. She loved scary movies & books, (Steven King & Alfred Hitchcock). "Shoot 'Em Up" cowboy movies were her favorite. As she greeted her grandchildren, she'd say "Gimme some shugg," or "I'm gonna tickle your neck."

On your birthday, you were sure to get a call. When you answered, she sang the "Happy Birthday Babe-Bull" song to you in her very OWN special way. Mom's unwavering love was unconditional towards all.

Carol is survived by her children, Robert E. Swann, Tonya J. Swann, Cynthia D. Swann, Markia M. Swann, and Devin A.
