Carol Lane Jenkins was born December 22, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Wofford and Constance Jenkins. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the kindest, sweetest, caring and strongest person anyone could have known. Her home was always a landing point during family hardships, when someone needed to stay a few days, or just to visit and catch up. She always had a listening ear, kept you grounded and reminded you that God was in control.

Carol enjoyed conversations with residents in her building’s front lobby from time to time. One of her favorite meals was BBQ from the grill with mac and cheese, baked beans and potato salad.

Carol was employed as a Postal Clerk for many years at the United States Postal Service before her health failed. However, she found pleasure working at the Walnut Hills Soup Kitchen serving the needy under the supervision of the late Elder Calvin Lewis.

Carol loved the lord and accepted Christ as her personal Savior under the leadership of the late Bishop William Morgan James of James Temple Church of God In Christ. She later became a member of Turning Point Ministries and loved to read the bible and listen to gospel music.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Caryn Jenkins. She leaves to cherish her memory, two grandsons Antonio ‘Tony’ Jenkins and Christophyr ‘Chris’ (Cassandra) Jenkins, great grandchildren Asia, Tyler, Jaylen, Parker and Charles and great great grandchildren Alijah, Alana and Shiloh and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her church family. A special bond was shared with her beloved nieces Sharon, Marjorie, Kathleen, Cynthia, and Iman.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Turning Point Ministries, 7245 Eastlawn Dr, Cincinnati (45237). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
