Calvin Louis Powell Sr. 09-20-1961 to 02-17-2014 Calvin Louis Powell Sr. was born on September 20, 1961 to West Powell Jr. and Maggie Mae R. Powell in Marks Mississippi. He was the third oldest of six children. In 1985 Calvin accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in Chicago, IL. He is preceded in death by his father West Powell Jr., his uncle KJ Powell, and Aunt YC Brown. Calvin was married to Elly-Mae Cabrera on January 23, 2014 in Covington, Kentucky. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a very humorous, helpful, and kind hearted person. His presence will be surly missed, but never forgotten. Calvin worked for McHughes as a Maintenance Supervisor for eight years. He retired early due to illness. Calvin leaves behind his family and friends who cherish the time we have had with him. Wife, Elly-Mae C. Powell, daughter Deja Camae C. Powell, son Kalen Jordan C. Powell, Calvin L. Powell Jr., Eric L. Powell, Mother Maggie Mae Powell, Step-Mother Weeda Powell, Sisters: Barbara Powell, Gloria Powell, Teena Powell. Brothers: James Powell, Marvin Powell, West Powell III, Mike Powell. Mother-in-law Ana B Mangohig, Father-in-law Danilo Mangohig, Ignacio A Cabrera, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m, Tuesday, March 4 at Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206) with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until hour of service.
