Obituary

Brennan Frederick Pearl, Sr., affectionately known as 'Booby', was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 8, 1934, to the late James Herbert Pearl and Eva Chandler. Shortly after the death of his mother, Brennan was raised by the beautiful Minnie Mae Corbin. He graduated from Anthony Wayne High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at the Stead Air Force Base in Reno, Nevada. He was a Radio Cryptographic Operator in the Security Service Branch. This branch was composed primarily of airman selected from the cream of Air Force enlisted recruits. Brennan was among the top 1/2 percent of tight-knit cold warriors tasked with monitoring, collecting, and interpreting secret military voice and electronic signals. These jobs required top secret clearance, were extremely high pressure, and considered essential to the U.S. Cold War efforts. He received the National Defense Service Medal and acquired life skills to carry on after receiving an Honorable Discharge. He lived some of his life on what they call the wild side. In 1988, Brennan met Belinda, they tied the knot in 1991 and became the Pearls - One Big Family. He would say 'We don't play step's and halves, we just play family.' The pearls organized S.T.E.P.S. - a society to eliminate poverty status. A program dedicated to helping ex-offenders and youth, based ooff of his past experiences, teaching them the importance of being drug-free and be all that you can be. Brennan later worked as a jet fueler at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport. He loved his dogs; he enjoyed listening and singing jazz tunes, watching sports in his 'shorts,' exercising in his personal home gym. He simply adored his family. He would also say 'nothing is more important than family.' His most enjoyable time was spent with family, and his favorite tune was Happy Birthday. A true family man. He departed this life on December 5, 2016, surrounded by his loving and supporting family. He drifted off to explore the Heavens and live on through us. Brennan is survived by his beloved wife, Belinda Pearl, and his children, Darryl Pearl-Cordell, Brennan Pearl, Jr., Brenda Pearl, Alesa Shamel, Lafara Carter, Teshona Stubblefield, and the baby Lakitha Pearl. He left an imprint on the hearts of his grandchildren, Darryl II, Michelle, Lea, Deantra, Clarena, Brandon, Lamar, Niesha, Tiesha, Lafara (Pebbles), Antonius, Kashona, Ijah, Tanijah, Elijah IV,Lasona, Shayria, Briyahna, and Kiely. He also leaves behind fourteen great-grandchildren.
