Brenda Joyce Thompson, was born on November 14,1949 in Cincinnati Ohio, Brenda fought a hard fight battling cancer for ten years. Brenda was the sixth of seven children born to the late proud parents of John Lewis and Willa Mae (nee Bullock) Howard. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. A.L. Goodwin at Jerriel Baptist Church. Brenda attended Hughes High School, she began working at an early age and was employed by Husman's until her retirement. Brenda has always been a loving person caring for many foster children over the years. Happiness was a big theme of Brenda life being around family and friends was her passion. She will be sorely missed and survived by 4 of her 7 siblings. Delores (Roosevelt) Ware of Brooklyn, NY, Beautee (Walter) Ranford Jr., Gwendolyn Howard, Diann Hill of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two brothers deceased Alphonso and Rayshon Keith Howard. Also survived by her three son's Terrell (Kelly) Burton of Virginia, Anthony Burton and Mario Thompson of Cincinnati, grandchildren Miesha, Terrell Jr., Shanika, Anthony Jr., Caria (Burton), Mari' Asia, Maria, Parish, Mario Jr. (Thompson), and six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends and her best friend from early childhood Virginia Andrews. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Phillips Memorial C.M.E., 839 W. North Bend Road, Cincinnati (45224).
