Brenda Jean Alexander was born on September 13, 1955. She was the third of nine children and was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by the love of a large and close-knit family.

Brenda attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Taft High School. She later continued her education at Cincinnati Technical Institute. As she grew into adulthood, Brenda established herself in the Sycamore Hill community, where she built lifelong friendships and created countless memories. She and her family attended St. Mark Church, where faith, family, and fellowship were important parts of her life.

Brenda treasured spending time with her loved ones. Some of her happiest moments were spent at family gatherings, backyard barbecues, holiday celebrations, and simply enjoying the company of her siblings, mother, and friends. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone around her.

At the age of 42, Brenda received one of life’s greatest blessings with the birth of her son, Terrell Alexander. Becoming a mother transformed her life in the most beautiful way. Anyone who knew Brenda knew that her son was her pride and joy. She loved him unconditionally and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to being the best mother she could be.

Brenda possessed a heart of gold. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. She would gladly give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She loved children and cared for many throughout her life, including family members, friends, and neighborhood children. Every child she encountered received the same love, guidance, and affection that she gave so freely.

Brenda was loving, intelligent, compassionate, and strong. She had beautiful handwriting that reflected the grace and care she put into everything she did. She never let a day pass without checking on family and friends. A phone call from Brenda could brighten anyone’s day, and her caring spirit touched countless lives.

If you were fortunate enough to know Brenda Jean Alexander, then you were truly blessed. Brenda was proceeded in death by her mother Charlie Mae Alexander, her father Charles Alexander, 4 sisters Deborah, Darlene, Bonnie, and Gail, 2 brothers Gary and Troy, and her nephew Chris, great nieces Charlie Mae and Frances.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only son Terrell Alexander, 2 granddaughters Au'bree and Ariya, one grandson Ariyon, her only sister Tammy Cunningham, 7 nieces Lakesha, Lakresha, Lakendra, Ciara, Leona, Tory, and Sugar, 2 nephews Ladon and Latwon, 28 great nieces and nephews, and 8 great great nieces and nephews, and her favorite cousin Treva Lawrence, and good friend Rose Wilmont.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
