Brandy Jeanette Denny-Lindsey, age 44, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was born on February 12, 1982, at Bethesda Hospital to Michelle Denny and was raised by Carson Larkin.

Brandy was the firstborn child of her mother, Michelle. She grew up in O’Bryonville and attended Lee Chapel AME Church. From a very young age, Brandy was extremely bright and gifted. While in preschool, her accomplishments and intelligence were recognized and featured in newspaper articles and calendars.

She attended Parham Elementary School in Evanston, where she thrived and was recognized for her academic excellence. Brandy tested into Walnut Hills High School and attended from the 7th through 10th grades. During her junior year, she transferred to Withrow High School, where she continued to excel and graduated a year early in 1999.

Following her early graduation, Brandy had to wait a year before moving forward with the next chapter of her life. In 2000, she enlisted in the United States Army but was soon transferred, with the assistance of her uncle, Master Sergeant Theodore Denny, to the United States Air Force. Ready to see the world, Brandy was stationed in Misawa, Japan, where she worked at the command post.

Within a year, Brandy married and welcomed her son, Brandyn, in 2002. During her time in the service, she made many lifelong friendships that became like family to her. She did her best to remain in touch with everyone throughout the years.

After returning to the United States, Brandy moved back home to Cincinnati around 2006. She then began focusing on autism research, modeling, and her family. During this time, she explored a variety of careers and traveled extensively. Brandy’s professional resume was as diverse as her personality and interests. She held positions as a dispatcher, model and modeling coach, MC, bartender and bottle-service attendant for nightclubs, rapper’s assistant, general manager, and court stenographer.

Brandy was committed to furthering her education and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016. She went on to work as a therapist, teacher, and school counselor while continuing her studies toward a Master’s degree in Psychology.

At the age of 40, Brandy experienced an aneurysm rupture that resulted in several strokes. She subsequently became a quadriplegic and required total care assistance. She was lovingly cared for at home by her sisters, Tamea and Angela; her niece, Samiyah; and her son, Brandyn. She was surrounded by love and never once complained about her circumstances. Brandy’s strength, resilience, and love for her family will forever remain a part of the hearts and memories of all who knew her.

Brandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Lucille Denny; her mother, Michelle Denny; her uncles, Robert Denny, Chester Denny, and Theodore Denny; and her aunt, Henriette (Ambrose) Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her one and only beloved son, Brandyn Deahjon Lindsey, affectionately known as her “Dean Donald.”

She also leaves her sisters, Angela Denny, Tamea Dean, DeShazier Fountaine, Aungelique Heater, Terea Dean, and Joann Spurling; and her brothers, Lawrence Brown, Antonio Brown, Angelo Dean, Dontae Dean, and Tarik Dean.

Brandy was the greatest aunt to Samiyah “Daughter,” Ava “Chunk Star,” Alonzo “Baby AJ,” Alyzza “Fluffy,” and 12 other nieces and nephews. She also served as a godmother to several young ladies and young men whom she loved and cared for as family.

Family meant everything to Brandy. She leaves her aunts, Karen Ann (Joseph) Richardson and Loretta Denny. Her cousins were more like siblings to her: Brian Denny, LaShaunda (Tyrone) Kent, DeAndre Denny, LaTrish Sims, LaJoi Richardson (deceased), Christina Denny, Vernetta Coman, and Tranisha Richardson.

She also leaves her first cousins once removed: Brandon, Kemontae, Brianna, Asia Denson (deceased), Antuan, Brielle, Jae’Onna, Jagara Brown (deceased), Jaliyha, Kristinae, Abalina, Devontae, Kevon, Joden, Damian, Jaden, and Arianna.

It would be impossible to name all of Brandy’s friends because she had so many. Among those who shared a special bond with her are RaDonda “Peedy” Carroll, Karaun “Rannesha” Phan, Jeanna Allen, Rico Weber, Cecily Cord (Cobbins), Pacman, Yogi, Kre, Henry, Teresa Jenkins, and Tisa Weaver, just to name a few.

Brandy Jeanette Denny-Lindsey will live forever in the memories and hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 4:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
