Bonita Jo
Green
December 30, 1956 — May 5, 2026
Bonita (Bonnie) Jo Green of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Bonita was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 30, 1956, to the late Jewel T. Green and James E Williams. Bonita was also proceeded in death by her brother, Duane Green.
Our sister, Bonnie, was known for her love for her family, friends, and strangers. Because of her generous, compassionate, and kind nature, she was known as a pillar of strength to her loved ones in times of need.
Bonnie loved cooking (the cakes from her Wiltons’ bakery class and her macaroni and cheese), dancing (she and her sister were known to tear up the floor fast-dancing), music (she would scrape her quarters to get the latest 45 when she was younger), and laughing loudly with her friends and family. She loved to travel and tell the tales of her adventures with her friends to various places.
Bonnie was a hard worker who dedicated 46 years to the Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community. Because of her caring nature, she was not only loved by the residents she cared for, but by their families, and the staff with whom she worked.
Through the study of God’s Word in the Bible, Bonnie believed in God’s Kingdom, which will restore the Earth to a Paradise. She expressed, “I wish that world would hurry up and come.” We can’t wait until we see our dear sister, Bonnie again to tell her how much we love her and to hear her respond, “I love you more!”
Bonnie is survived by her siblings, Darla (Allen) Leary, Yvette Williams, Anthony Williams, Dion Williams, and Sonya Williams; her aunts, Zadie Williams and Mary Jane Booker. Her best friends Monica Mathis and Jeanie Bradley, the families of her heart, the Baines and Johnsons, many nieces and nephews and a host of cousins too many to name.
She will be surely missed by us all.
