It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Billy James Wathel, age 95, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born on Sunday, March 9, 1930, in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 26 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati  (45216).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

Interment at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Dayton National Cemetery with Military Honors.
