John Billy Dennis Jr, was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 12th, 1920 to his loving mother Lillian and gracious father John Billy Dennis Sr. (Red). He didn't stay there for long; soon he traveled to Cincinnati, where he was raised by his grandmother till the age of 7. Longing to be with his father he left Cincinnati, to live with his father and stepmother, Louise Dennis. Louise gave birth to Billy's younger brothers, Billy and Hilliet Dennis. While in Cleveland, Billy worked as a construction worker and met Bertha, soon later the couple gave birth to Ruby, Billy's eldest daughter. After a few years, Billy and Bertha separated. Within that time Billy met his sweetheart, Ruth Townsend. Ruth and Billy were inseparable and the couple produced: Jerry, Joan, Jonathan and Joyce- who survive him. Billy and Ruth raised their family for 16 & a halve years, then he left for Cincinnati and married four more times. At the young age of 93, he passed on peacefully in his beloved Cincinnati. Billy left behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. His warm sprit and calm demeanor will be missed by the people he leaves behind. To his friends and family he was known as the jokester, with a devilish grin and playful eyes, it's safe to say he brought joy to everyone he encountered. Today we celebrate his life, remember his joy and carry his legacy forward. Lived from August 12, 1920- June 29th, 2014.
