IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Jean
Thomas
November 1, 1985 – January 9, 2014
Visitation Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 - 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM - First Antioch Baptist Church 1511 Gilpin Ave - Cincinnati, OH - 45206 Service Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 - 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - First Antioch Baptist Church 1511 Gilpin Ave - Cincinnati, OH - 45206 Betty Jean Thomas was born on November 1, 1985 to Donna Jean Thomas and Darnell Emerson. Betty received her GED from Cincinnati State. Betty worked at Residence of Greystone as a head cook for three years. She was a hard worker, always on time and never missed a day of work. Betty was a rare and special person, and you knew it while in her presence. Betty had a multitude of friends and family. She took pride and great care in the nurturing of her friendship. Betty was not only beautiful on the outside, she also had a beautiful heart. Betty was truly a wonderful person. She was the kind of person who kept a smile on her face. Betty enjoyed making people laugh. She was a true Jokester. Betty's pride and joy were her family. When Betty met Adam Bostic, they became inseparable. The two eventually had two beautiful girls together named Anaya and Ariyah. Her children were her everything. Her face lit up just at the mention of their names. Betty was a very hands on mother. She loved building forts out of sheets and making homemade cookies with her girls. They were her life. Her children inspired her to be better and do better. Betty was so inspired by her children that she enrolled in college. Betty dreamed of one day becoming an attorney. She maintained great grades while working full-time and being a full-time mommy. But she did it with a smile on her face and never complained. Betty's life came to a tragic end on January 9, 2014 and although she is gone, her jokes and laughter will forever echo in our hearts and minds. We will cherish the life Betty lived, the people Betty loved and the memories we have of our beloved Betty. A great mother, daughter, sister and friend. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her father, Darnell Emerson; her children, Anaya and Ariyah Bostic; her brothers and sisters, Donna, Marie, Joseph, Daryl, Donnetta, April, Gregory, Jessica, Joshua, Michael, Stephanie and John. Her aunts, Betty, Linda and Wanda and her 19 nieces and nephews as well as a host of cousins and friends.
