Obituary

Betty Jane Daniels was born in Springfield, Ohio November 19, 1936 to Josephine Mundy and James Ellis, and departed this life saved by grace on June 16, 2019.

Betty Jane met the love of her life, William Lawrence Daniels in Cincinnati Ohio. They were joined in marriage on November 24, 1966 by the late Rev. R. Vinson, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where they served for many years under the pastorate of the late Rev. Vinson and the late Rev. Clayton Waller Sr. They later joined the Tryed Stone Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Anderson Culbreath.

To this union was born four children. Carla Daniels-Coley, Maurice Daniels, William Keith Daniels and Tracey Denise Daniels-Hairston.

Betty was a wonderful and devoted wife. She was a sweet, strong and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother!! Betty was a cherished friend and one of the sweetest spirits a sister, aunt or sister-in- love could ever ask for. Both her open heart and open door were known throughout the community. Long before daycare centers and paid babysitters of today, there was "Mrs. Betty's house". If your child was missing after school, chances are they were over Mrs. Betty's house eating cheese coneys, or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the other children who were instructed by their parents to wait over Mrs. Betty's house until they got home from work.

"Betty Jane", as she was known by those close to her had a smile that would light up your very soul! Yet she was as frank as she was sweet. With all the sweetness of her heart she would tell you like it is. But in the end, you knew you were loved.

The quintessential homemaker, excellent cook and licensed beautician, she will truly be deeply missed as she touched the lives of so many.

Betty Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William and mother Josephine.

Left to cherish the memory of her fruitful life is her four children: Carla Daniels-Coley (Dion), Maurice Daniels, William Keith Daniels (Lisa) and Tracey Denise Daniels-Hairston (Samuel); grandchildren: LaQuinda, Michael, Antonio, Quinton, Diamond, Micah, Phillip, Myles, Keisha, Promise, Olivia, Taylor, Lil Keith, Olivia, Samuel, Samson and Hosea; great grands: Keith, Tre, Tyson, Tate, Aleah and Amena; brothers: Anthony (Kim), Lamont and Johnny; sister-in-love: Beatrice Beamon; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
