Bertha Lee Brown-Patton was born on February 9, 1930. To the late William Tarylor Dawson and Elenoria Dawson. The Lord called her home on August 25, 2026.

Bertha was the eldest of four siblings. She was a nutriture in her life. Always taking care of people. Even in her retired years from Children’s Hospital as a certified Nurse’s Aide. She took care of her mother until her death. While still raising grandchildren.

Talented in needle embroidery, knitting and sewing. She was an avid reader. One who loves to travel (especially cruise’s). She enjoyed dining out with family, listening to music, watching the Price is Right, doing word search and cross word puzzles.

Fashionable, smart, funny, kind, strong, feisty, encouraging devoted in her faith, and to her family.

Bertha was preceded in by her parents William Taylor Dawson Sr. and Elenoria Dawson; brother William Taylor Dawson Jr., sister Jamie Mae McCord, daughter Sheridan Boyd son Thomas Brown Jr.

She leaves to cherish in her memory son’s Edward Dawson Brown, Johnny Anthony Brown Lee, Van Patton daughter Eleanor Brown and sister Andora Burnett and a host of grandchildren, nephew’s, and great-grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
