Obituary

Barbara Jean Arnold, a strong and beautiful woman and mother, left this world unexpectedly. Our most High called Barbara home to join her parents, son, and other family members. Barbara was 68 years old when she received her wings to fly home to the most High in his kingdom on December 13, 2020.

Barbara was born on Aril 10, 1952, in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, Ohio. Her parents were Josephine Arnold and R.J. Arnold. Barbara is survived by three of her four children-London Sheree Arnold, Nakia Arnold, and Brandon Lamont. Barbara's second oldest son, Kenneth Oscar Arnold joined the kingdom of the most High in May 2008. Barbara is also survived by her many loving grandchildren and step-children, in addition to her siblings; Yoanita Ramsey, Kathleen Nixon, Grover Arnold, Larry Arnold, Tommie Mae Ramsey, and Theresa Arnold. Barbara's other siblings are with her in the Kingdom of Heaven-Geraldina Brown, Chester Arnold, Jazzbo, and Yapp Arnold.

Barbara graduated from Taft High School and briefly attended Job Corp. Throughout the years, Barbara worked several jobs, but her primary role was that of a mother and grandmother. Barbara always put family first with her infectious laugh and nurturing spirit. Barbara never gave up on her children and was always there when she was needed. Barbara was a dutiful and present mother and grandmother. All of Barbara's grandchildren, who she helped raise, have been blessed by Barbara's dedication and that she could witness them growing into who they are today. Barbara sacificed much to tend to her grandchildren, including quitting her job at Lake Ridge's Nursing Home.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy and example of being a strong black woman. Barbara worked hard, provided for her family, loved deeply, was generous, and always smiling. Barbara's sacrifices for her children and grandchildren were many and her memory will be honored and never forgotten. Barbara, nearly perfect in the eyes of those who loved her, will be deeply missed; however, this is not a goodbye but a see you one day again. Barbara's legacy will live on through the lives of her children, grandchildren, family, and those lucky enough to have been graced with her smile and pure heart.
