Asia Lurene Cathey passed away April 29, 2014. Baby Asia's beautiful smile lit up everybody's heart. She was the cutest, happiest baby that anyone ever could imagine or set eyes on. An Angel, that she is! Our sweet little Asia was born to Jade Cathey and Shavale Johnson on January 23, 2014. She became one of God's special angels on April 28, 2014. We probably will never understand how and why God chose baby Asia, but He chose the best little person to be one of his dearly beloved Angels. Asia's life will live on. Her heart and other organs were donated to The Life Center Organ Donor Network of Cincinnati. Asia's heart was received by another waiting child; therefore, baby Asia definitely lives on! To cherish her memory, baby Asia leaves her mother, Jade Cathey; her father, Shavale Johnson, paternal grandmother, Keisha Johnson, maternal aunt, Jazmine Cathey, paternal aunts, Caress and Erica Johnson, maternal great aunt and uncle, Daisy and Roger Byrd. Our sweet little Asia had seven siblings, Tierra, Juwan, Tajuana, Tyre, Tyreice, Teauan, and Aisha. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jana Cathey and David Byrd, maternal great grandmother, Anna Estelle Cathey and maternal great aunt, Teri Pankey. Her family and friends will miss baby Asia tremendously. However, we will rest assured knowing that she is now one of God's special Angels.
