Asbury Gerome Fisher Jr., age 77, was born on Sunday, November 23, 1947, in Columbia, South Carolina to the union of Anna Pearl Fisher and Asbury Fisher, Sr.  He accepted Christ at an early age.  He graduated from Taft Vocational High School.  He served in the US Army and received his Honorable Discharge in 1977.  He loved golfing.  He started caddying at an early age.  He worked at Dolly Madison and continental Bakery.  He also worked with his father, the late, Asbury Fisher, Sr. black topping from Columbia, South Carolina to working at Fisher and Son Construction Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.  In his later years, he worked for First Student Bus Company where he enjoyed his coworkers and students.

He was preceded in death by his father, Asbury Fisher, Sr.; mother, Anna Pearl Fisher; sisters, Evelyn Pettis and Hattie Wright; nephew, Kevin Fisher.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Anthony "Tony" Fisher, Michael, April, Jonathan Fisher; stepchildren, Robert Davis, Kita Furr, Rontonio Brown and Rhonda Brown; sisters, Deborah and Sheila Fisher; brothers, Eddie Fisher, Ronald Fisher (Adrian); wife/significant other, Jacqueline Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
