Obituary

Arnold Golden of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on July 17, 2011.

Arnold Golden was born on July 29, 1926, in Tampa, Florida.  He was the second child of Carrie Lee Cooper and Riley C. Golden. He was educated in his hometown, and later studied tailoring in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II.  He resided in Cincinnati, Ohio for over sixty years.

He met the loved of his life, Betty Watkins.  Their relationship blossomed and they were united in marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Riley Golden; son, Christopher Jackson;  four sisters, Catherine G. O'Neal, Evelyn G. Randolph, Bertha G. Satterwhite, Ocenia G. Stinson; and two brothers, Alton Hale Golden and Reginald C. Golden.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Betty Watkins Golden; son, Arnold Adkins and his wife, Sherry; daughter, Ocenia Jackson Henly and her husband, Vernard; grandchildren, Julian Jackson, Shanika Jackson.   He was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Altamese Goilden Simmons; three nephews; four nieces; many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Walker Funeral Home (formerly Joseph R. Garr Funeral Service), 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati, Ohio  45214.  The Pastor Rev. Richard Cole, officiating.

Interment Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
