IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Lee
Wofford
January 4, 1967 – October 24, 2025
Anthony Lee Wofford, lovingly known as "Tony," peacefully entered eternal rest on October 24, 2025, at the age of 58, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 4, 1967, to Lovell Cooper and George Carter, Tony was later blessed with the last name Wofford through his loving stepfather, Samuel A. Wofford. He was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished grandparents, Myrtis and Nelson Cooper Sr., whose love and wisdom helped shape the compassionate, witty, and resilient man he became.
A proud graduate of Robert A. Taft High School, Class of 1987, Tony went on to work for Procter & Gamble and later concluded his career in 2025 at Jewish Hospital. where his kindness, dedication, and infectious sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
Tony's greatest joy in life was his family. He is lovingly survived by his children: Anthony Nico Lee Wofford, Antonio Stephon Wofford, Anthony Cory Lee Wofford, LaTyla Leigh Wofford, and Anthony Justyse Lee Wofford. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Sherri (Cooper) Johnson (Michael) and Nikita Wofford; his brother, Samuel "Gino" Wofford (Jacqueline); his sister- cousin, Tina Lowery and his brother cousin, Charles Lowery. Tony was a proud uncle to many, including Tamica Cooper, Whitney Williams, Jasmine (Glenn) Crowley (Josh), Ceara Glenn, Rickia (Cooper) Boyd (Omar), Reginald "Reg" Williams, Harold Glenn III, Henry Glenn, Ricky Cooper and GeVonne Cooper (Ashley). He is also remembered by his former spouse, Laturicia Wofford, and Jacqueline Barrett, the mother of his two eldest sons. His brother by heart, Keith Watson, stood by him through life's many seasons. Tony's legacy continues through a host of cherished grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy and pride: Anthony Nico Wofford Jr., Giovanni Wofford, Armonii Deramus Wofford, Antonio Wofford Jr., Jakari Wofford, Pheyton Wofford, Paris Wofford, Ka'Mouri Wofford, and Mi'Khale Kory Jackson.
Tony found joy in life's simple pleasures—cooking delicious meals, listening to the soulful sounds of Anita Baker, Toni Braxton, and Stephanie Mills, and spending time in nature through park visits and fishing trips. He had a deep love for animals, from fish and turtles to dogs, and a sense of humor that lit up every room. Though not a regular churchgoer, Tony carried a quiet but unwavering faith and a deep love for the Lord.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Christ Hospital, the staff at Maple Knoll Bodmann Pavilion, and the volunteers at Hospice of Cincinnati for the compassionate care they provided during Tony's final days.
He now joins in heaven his beloved brother Derrick "Chico" Wofford; sister-cousins Robyn (Cooper) Scott (Steven) and Tracy Cooper; his nephew Melvin Murray Jr.; and his precious infant daughter, Lavell Wofford.
Tony's love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, we find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain and is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
