Anthony Maurice Mathews was born January 8, 1989 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Phyllis Mathews and Anthony Collins. He departed this earth on October 5, 2013. He unites with his aunts, Brenda Williams and Jeanette Ware, uncle, Artie Collins, and grandfathers, Jesse Mathews and James Collins. Anthony 'Weedie' attended Taft High School. He was a true hero and recently became a new father to his son, Ahmaryea AreaShion Mathews. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was very protective of them. Weedie also known as 'Wee Skeet 'Team Milly'' enjoyed boxing, dancing, and rapping. He loved going to the studio to make music and recently recorded a video named 'Lord Knows'. Anthony is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Phyllis Mathews; father, Anthony 'Guy'Collins; grandmothers, Barbara Mathews and Mary Ogbebar; brothers, Michael Mathews, Melvin (Danielle) Mathews, Tony Mathews and Antwan Collins; sisters, Contessa Mathews, Summer Collins, and Jasmine Riggins; nephews, Shamale Mathews, Santeriyahn Mills; aunts, Renee Harmon, Tasha Champion, Pamela Mathews; uncles, Derrick, Jesse, Steve Mathews, Allen Collins, Gloria Collins-Walker, Melinda, Mornica; Anthony's wife, Shanika Wright and his wonderful son, Ahmaryea AreaShion Mathews. He leaves a host of family, friends, cousins and special friends, Julis, Scoon, Sip, Burner, Dirt, and Buck; sister-in-law, Danielle Mathews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at NEW PROSPECT BAPTIST CHURCH, 1829 Elm Street, Cincinnati (45202).
