Anthony “Tony” Clark, Sr. was born on July 30, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late John Clark, Jr. and Sarah Clark. He went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2026.

Tony’s love for Christ began at a young age. He faithfully served as a Deacon at Bible Way Church of God in Christ and remained devoted to his faith throughout his life. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, the late Brenda Clark, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

During his career at White Castle Bakery, Tony formed a lasting friendship with Odell Sr. Through his dedication, perseverance, and strong work ethic, Tony helped pave the way for positive change in the workplace. Anthony Clark Sr. worked for the White Castle Evendale Bakery for 36 years before retiring in 2012. Known by his coworkers as “Bubba”, he helped to produce buns and other countless goods for white castle. Bubba had a strong passion and took pride in his career within the company.

His passion didn't stop there; he was disappointed with the lack of diversity in the bakery. In 1993, Bubba and Odell Willams Sr. risked their jobs by filing a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Employer office in downtown Cincinnati. Due to their courageous actions, Evendale bakery is the most diverse it has ever been. Bubba's sons Anthony Jr. and John have also been blessed with the benefits of he and Odell's selfless efforts. The impact of his efforts continued to be felt, as he and Odell helped promote greater equality and opportunity for others.

Tony will always be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, positive determination, and resilience to navigate through life with a business mindset.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted children: Victoria Clark, Anthony Clark, Jr. (Robin), John Clark and Brian Clark; his beloved grandchildren, Bre Yona and Aminah Clark; two sisters; four nephews; three nieces; a host of great-nephews and great-nieces; his special father and mother figures, Joe and Sarah Poelinitz; and a host of other relatives and friends.
