Anniebell  Tann "Mema"  Riley February 16, 1941 - August 13, 2022

Anniebell Tann Riley (Mema) was born February 16, 1941 in the city of Cincinnati to the late Jessie Tann Bridge and Rev. George Walker Tann. She graduated from Hughes High School and Poro School of Beauty and Art. There she became a Cosmetologist and a first class beautician here in Cincinnati for 44 years. Some of her clients she had for 35 years or more including Ms. Christine Folds Brown, Ms. Mattie Roberson, the late Ms. Garnetta Robinson and many more.

On July 2, 1963 she married her 'honey dew' Dea. George Riley Sr. who has preceded her in death. They were happily married for 55 years. To this union one son was born, Min. George E. Riley Jr. She was born and raised in Revelation Baptist Church, which after marriage she later joined First New Shiloh Baptist church under the leadership of the late Rev. M. J. Mangham. During her time at First New Shiloh Mrs. Riley did great church and served the Lord. She was a part of the Shiloh Mass Choir, the MC at most of the programs with the church and was called on to give a response when the church would fellowship with other churches. She also worked with many young people from churches and schools.

Mrs. Riley was blessed to have four grandchildren who she simply adored and growing up she took them around the world until she became ill and was no longer able to continue those things. Later she was blessed with two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Riley leaves to cherish her memories,  one son George Riley Jr.,  Special daughter's,  Tarmecia (Kevin) Hankerson, Racquel Harris; grandchildren,  Jaleel Smith Riley, Jaila Riley, Deiondre Riley, Kadance Riley, Jaila Meeks, Jordan Meeks, Aalyiah Smith-Garrett and Ciara Smith-Garrett; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Smith-Riley, Knaomi Riley, Ariel Whaley and Khari Henderson; one brother,  Lee (Sherry) Riley, one sister,  Shirley Alexander, one aunt,  Louise Goss, cousin,  Randy Durham;  godson,  Michael K. Cash;  goddaughter,  Jeanna Keeling and a host of niece's, nephew's, relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation is from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, on  Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the First New Shiloh Baptist Church, 710 South Fred Shuttlesworth Circle, Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 5:00 pm.

Interment on Monday, August 22, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428. MEET AT ASSEMBLY AREA B AT 9:45 AM. FOR THE 10:00 AM SERVICE AT SHELTER B.
