Obituary

Annie DeLoris Taylor was born April 28th 1949, and made her transition to glory on Wednesday April 20th, 2016. Annie was born to Annie Rae Sconiers and the late Jim Johns Jr. She was born in Geneva County Alabama and graduated from Coppinville High School, May 27th 1968. She was one of eight children. Annie leaves behind five siblings Gloria Jean Reece (Edward), Jaquelin Clay (Dr. John), Patrica Johns, Ruth Bigham Johns (), David Johns, and Rudolph Wilkerson Louisiana. She is proceed in death by her brother Tony Meadows, Cincinnati. After the completion of high school she attended several colleges in Alabama, where she met her beloved husband Robert Lee Taylor. The two wed in February 1970. Out of their union came three children Antonio Taylor, Gamal Taylor (Juanita), and Twala Taylor-Wills (Antwan). Shortly after marriage they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to raise their family. Annie accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized at young age, but once in Cincinnati she joined New Jerusalem Baptist church on Vine Street under the leadership of Pastor Damon Lynch Jr. After they were settled she began working at Rockdale Elementary as a teacher assistant. In 1982 she began to study business at Xavier Univeristy. In 1995 she took a position at Washington Limousine in the Silver Coach Tours and Travel department, where she managed the tour bus drivers and put together trip packages. It was there she found the passion for traveling, so much that she became a licensed travel agent. Mr. & Mrs. Taylor spent a lot of their time traveling all around the world. Annie like most women loved her shoes, handbags and clothes. Annie was a very creative and crafty woman who truly loved the Christmas holiday. Annie passed down her love for fashion, and creative spirit to her daughter. She coached little league cheerleading, hosted the most extravagant parties, and loved to take her grandchildren around town to different places. One thing everyone knew was that she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very outspoken and took no nonsense from anyone. Everyone knew what it meant when her eyebrow would raise. At the same time we also knew what it was like to see her laughing and smiling. Annie always was an entertaining woman, who always told the funniest stories. In 2002 her family began to notice her altered behavior when she began forgetting things she would normally remember, having frequent accidents and losing things. Annie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2004. The support of her family was stronger than ever, especially from her loving husband that cared for her every day throughout the entire duration of the disease. Annie passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio. Her family finds comfort and peace in reflecting on all the memories, and the good times they shared with her. Mr. Taylor has been a true exemplar of a strong black man for his family, by standing by his wife through sickness and health until death did them apart. Annie leaves behind nine grandchildren, LaAdrian Cole , Kelsey, Patrick, Kayla Taylor Airyes, Airiaun, Taylor, Cleveland, Paisley Grace one greatgrandchild Ryleigh Young, two aunts Mary E. Blackmond, Mary Helen Williams, and two uncles Clarence and Carl Ward. Annie leaves behind a host of other family, and friends. Annie touched the lives of many and we know her legacy will live on forever. We know that she is resting, and rejoicing with the angles in heaven.
