Ann Leona (Powell) Lee was born November 24, 1921 on Thanksgiving Day, to the union of A. B. Powell and Cassie Bell Powell in Jackson, Georgia. Ann was the eldest of 6 children, Ann joined church as a young child, enjoyed singing, Ann departed this life on Saturday October 31st. Ann attended school in Jackson, Georgia, she moved to Cincinnati as a young woman. Worked at the old General Hospital, and the Post Office. Ann met Mins Lee around the middle 40's , they dated , married in 1944. From the union 5 children were born, Deborah , Daryl, Danella, Dexter and Douglas. Ann joined New Prospect Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.L. Collins, As a member under the leadership of Pastor Lane, she was on the "Give Me my Flowers committee, President of the Ever Ready Club. Ann continued to be an active member until Dementia changed her life. Ann loved her church family, always got excited when talking about her Pastor , he's a God sent man. Ann enjoyed people, she was very friendly, always a leader, with a comedic spirit. Known for telling you how she felt, didn't hold back anything, Very supportive to her children and grandchildren, always took the time to listen, and encourage us. Ann enjoyed playing Bingo, solitaire , watching baseball games ( don't call her during the world's series). Growing plants, she had a green thumb, and the wonders of nature. She leaves not to mourn her passing, but to cherish her memory: Mins Lee who preceded her in death, David Goodrum (brother) of Cleveland, Ohio. Brother-in-law Frances Lee of Austin, Texas. Children , Deborah Trimm, Daryl ( Lillian) Lee , Danella Jamison, Dexter Lee , Douglas (Patricia) Lee. Grandchildren: Nachel Behanan, Adrian Trimm- Walker, Ray (Brandi) Trimm, Vonell Murphy, Natasha Reynolds, Kayla Reynolds, Douglas Hilson, Darius Hilson, Shamia Lee. Preston Trimm, Jr preceded Ann in death. Great Grandchildren: Montez Trimm, Ashlei Trimm, Andre Trimm, Danielle Trimm, Markeith Behanan, Zachary Trimm, Kiara West, Armand Walker, Dionte Harris-Trimm, Diondre Harris, Geon Geer, Geona Geer, Arianna Trimm, Korea Reynolds, Jaymen Reynolds, Kanya Reynolds ,. Great Great Grandchildren: Tahira Trimm, Akira Trimm, Gabriel Preston Trimm, Olivia Trimm, Jayden Montez Turner, Maddie Trimm, and a host of family and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday, November 9, 2015, at the New Prospect Baptist Church , 1580 Summit Road, Cincinnati (45237). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Damon Lynch, III will officiate. Interment will follow Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pallbearers will be: Armand Walker, Douglas Hilson, Dionte Trimm, Brian Smith, Zachary Trimm, Ray Trimm. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
