Anita Marie Lewis, 56, ascended into her heavenly home on Friday, February 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Anita was born in Akron, Ohio but resided in Cincinnati, Ohio for most of her adult life. Anita was a wonderful, loving person that was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She held a special place in her heart for all children, becoming a foster parent over a decade ago. Even during her brave fight with cancer, she remained upbeat and uplifting, always imparting encouraging words and inspiration to those in a battle of their own! To describe Anita as a phenomenal woman would be an understatement, as she was a hard worker and loving mother that successfully raised nine children, most of the time, doing it all on her own! Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Roper and Alice Sales-Roper, and her brother, Mark Roper. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Darshon A. Roper (Laquita), Daysha M. Lewis, Delvilin M. Lewis (Chante), Antonio R. Jones, Anthony W. Jones, Willie A. Jones (Heidi), Fantasia Q. Jones, Marian L. Jones, Myron L. Jones, and Krishna Coyle; Brothers: Kevlen, Michael and Darrin Roper; Aunt: Inez Patterson; Lifelong Friend, Jill Brown; 17 grandchildren; And a host of other family members and friends!
