IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andrew
Denton
November 28, 1955 – June 18, 2021
Andrew "Andre" Denton was born to Rube Lee Denton and Dorothy Mae (nee Davis) on November 28, 1955.
Andre attended Woodward High School where he was an outstanding student. During his high school years, he participated in many activities including Junior Achievement, umpiring knothole baseball games, and wrestling. As a teenager, Andre worked at Burger Chef in Kennedy Heights and Mullaney's Pharmacy in Pleasant Ridge. After graduation from Woodward High School in 1973, Andre attended the University of Cincinnati.
Andre was employed as a Chemical Lab Technician at Hilton Davis, Sun Chemical, and Fernald. He also worked for the US Postal Service. After retirement, Andre couldn't just "sit around". He sought part-time employment at Home Depot and as a crossing guard for Cincinnati Public Schools.
Andre was a knowledgeable, mild-mannered man who enjoyed engaging in deep conversations/discussions on just about any topic. Andre was an avid reader. He loved the Cincinnati Reds – he would listen to their broadcasts on the radio or television. He also enjoyed watching vampire movies and "old school" horror movies. His favorite television show was "Andy Griffith" reruns.
He was an amazing caregiver for his brothers Keith and Craig during their final illnesses. Andre was devoted to and deeply loved his family – his brothers, his children, and his beloved dog, Chico.
Andre became ill at the end of 2020. He fought his illness each and every day until he took his last breath on Friday, June 18, 2021. Andre was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Keith and Craig.
Andre leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Rube and Jeffrey; children, Andre "DreDre" Tucker, Alexander "Alex" Tucker, Chyna Tucker and their mother, Michelle Jones; grandchildren, Londyn Dangerfield, Lincoln Pfaff, and Jaxson Pfaff; nephews, Anthony Hudson and Khari Paul Denton; great niece, Laila Hudson; great nephews, Kyrie and Kyrin Denton; special cousin, Johnnie "Petey" North; sister-in-law, Toni Denton; lifelong friends, Barb and Keith L. Thomas, Sr., and a host of other family and friends.
