Andrew S. Cockrell, 84, of Covington died Friday at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was a construction laborer. His wife, Bessie Mae Cockrell, died in 2006. Survivors include his daughters, Janet Cockrell of Eutaw, Ala., Atlanta Cockrell of Hempstead, N.Y., and Vera Traylor of Cleveland; son, Jimson Cockrell of Traverse City, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Jones, Simpson & Gee Funeral Home in Covington ( Walker Funerals and Cremations). Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill
