Andre Spears Andre called "Dray" was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Loretta Spears and the late Joe Bronner October 31, 1968. Andre attended school in Cincinnati and received his high school diploma. He was passionate about learning and ports. He loved all sports but his favorite and basketball. Andre played in both local and state basketball conferences. He even received a scholarship award and was planning to go to college at Ohio State University.

As life does we have peaks and valleys in life. So Andre made the best of his journey. Andre had many health challenges. He was legally blind but he was resilient. He worked with the Cincinnati Blind Association. Andre trained seeing eye dogs for others in the blind community. Andre was featured on the billboard at the bus stop for everyone to know that blind people could live in the dark as well as people who live in the light.

Andre worked various jobs in the community and church. He was helpful and generous man. His neighbors looked out for him. He loved to dress and look good. He was a suit and tie kind of guy and extremely independent. Andre gave his life to Christ as a mature young man. He loved attending church with his neighbors and friends. Andre had a great relationship with his church and especially Associate Minister Ronald Wilkins. Our family if very thankful for the love and care given to Andre by the community and the church.

Andre was loved by his entire family. Love comes in many shapes and sizes to all families. He was the 2nd oldest of 9 children He will be missed by all.

Andre went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2025.

Andre was preceded in death by his father: Joseph Bonner; sisters: Loreza, Nicole; brothers: Roberto, Stanley. Andre leaves to mourn his homegoing, his loving and devoted mother: Loretta Spears; sisters: Sherena and Yolanda; brothers: Jericho and Rahman, a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on  Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
