IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amber Ebony
Suttles
December 3, 1991 – August 30, 2025
Amber Ebony Suttles was born on December 3, 1991, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Rachel Suttles and Irvin Frye. She was called home by our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Amber leaves to cherish her memory six wonderful children: Arion Suttles, Romell Suttles, Eve Suttles, Cornell Suttles, Nasir Suttles, and Nia Sanders; siblings Maurice Suttles, Keena, Irvin Jr., Keria, and Marquess; her mother, Rachel Suttles; father, Irvin Frye; grandparents, Sarah Burbanks and Evelyn Frye; uncles, Samuel Burbanks, Tony Frye, and Bryan Frye; her special uncle, Clifford Suttles; her aunt, Lasandra Suttles; and her special love, William Sanders—along with a host of relatives and friends.
Amber accepted Christ at a young age and was an active member of Willing Spirit Baptist Church under the late Emeritus Pastor Robert E. Taul. She was one of the original members of Essie's Angels, a praise dance group led by Mrs. Frankie Cunningham and Ms. Annie Colbert. Amber's passion for worship also extended to her participation in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, church retreats, cake walks, and youth outings. She was a member of the Youth Choir under the leadership of Clifford Suttles and continued singing joyfully throughout her life.
Under the loving guidance of her great-aunt Dorothy Lee and her great-grandmother Sarah Burbanks, she modelled in church fashion shows, proudly wearing outfits handmade in the church's sewing class. Her love for music was lifelong, with a special fondness for Christmas songs. Christmas was also her favorite time of the year.
Amber received her early education at Hyde Park Elementary School, Central Fairmount, Midway, and Hughes High School. She later earned her GED and proudly graduated with her STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) certification, continuing her journey of compassion and care for others.
Amber found joy in life's little things—from getting her hair styled by her cousins to cooking breakfast for her beloved great-grandparents, the late Cornelius and Hank Smiley. She took pride in ensuring they took their medications and were well taken care of.
Above all, Amber deeply loved being a mother. She devoted herself to her children, often taking them to parks, playgrounds, and water features. A natural planner and budgeter, Amber could throw unforgettable birthday parties using coupons and the internet to stretch every dollar with love and creativity.
Amber's life was shaped by the care and guidance of her mother, Rachel Suttles, and, for a time, her uncle and aunt, Clifford and Lasandra Suttles. Through their love and example, Amber learned to be compassionate, helpful, and nurturing—especially to her brother, Maurice Suttles, and to others around her.
She was exceptionally grateful to her mother, Rachel Suttles, for always being there and helping care for her children's needs and wants.
Amber believed in God and walked through life with faith, love, and resilience. She will be sorely missed, but we take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
We will meet again in Heaven, Baby Girl.
Thank you to everyone for your love and support. It is greatly appreciated.
