ALMA FORNEY was born in Selma, Alabama, to the late Andrew McGuire and Eileen Johnson. She was the eldest of her siblings. Her family relocated to Cincinnati when she was young.

ALMA received her education through the Cincinnati Public School System and later worked as a seamstress, in gift wrap customer care, and as a care provider.

ALMA dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on April 10, 1965. She warmly welcomed new ones at the Kingdom Hall and offered encouragement to those around her. She enjoyed the ministry work and especially treasured working alongside congregation members.

ALMA was best known for being a wonderful cook, especially when it came to desserts, and for her memorable sense of humor. She was truly a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

ALMA shared a loving and devoted marriage with her late husband, Curtis Forney, for 64 years and 11 months. Together, they were blessed with three children.

ALMA leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jeffrey (Traci) Forney, Anita (Gregory) Robinson, and Linette Forney; her brother, Andrew (Ann) Johnson; her sisters, Susan P. Richardson and Catherine Tatum; her brother-in-law, Donald (Pearl) Forney; her sisters-in-law, Caritha Stokes and Denise Williams; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

ALMA’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, kindness, and devotion. Her gentle spirit, joyful humor, and caring ways will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses - Red Bank Road, 5572 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati (45227). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 1:30 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery.
