IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Allen Vincent
Hudson
September 3, 1947 – February 2, 2021
On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, loving father and all around good guy, Allen Vincent Hudson, passed away at the age of 73.
He was a graduate of Holmes High School and went on to work for Sheet Metal Local 24 for over 25 years. When he retired from sheet metal, he became known as "Mr. Al", a school bus monitor for Kenton County Schools. Throughout his life he was an avid and talented fisherman, who would be on the water any chance he got. Al was generous with his time for causes he believed in. As a young man he was a "big brother", to several "little brothers". You could find him volunteering at the AFL-CIO Labor Day Picnic every year and was active in union and political activities, sometimes taking his children along to see how to make "good trouble". As a member of the Erlanger Lions Club he helped with the youth football program, festivals, Easter egg hunts, eyeglass drives and anything in between. His willingness to help, easy humor, desire to talk to anyone about anything and ability to make anyone feel welcome earned him several leadership roles in his various activities, the honor of Lion of the Year in the early 1990's. as well as countless friends.
Al was preceded in death by his father, Allen, mother Alverta, brother Mickey Koplock, nephew Brent Meier and former wife Linda Adams.
He is survived by his children Kim Hudson Williams (Nick), Kyle Hudson, former wife Barb Grubbs, sister Teri Meier, grand daughters Allason and Jude Williams, great grand daughter Ariel, niece Kelli Stull, nephew Michael Meier, step sons Chris and Donny Adams and more friends than could ever fit in a bass boat. No services at this time.
