Alice Delores Bell was born on October 18, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to David Porter and Laura Porter.

She attended Washburn Elementary and Porter Junior High and graduated from Central High School, Class of 62. After high school, she attended Cincinnati State, where she completed her associate's degree. Alice worked at UC Hospital doing social work until she retired. She then went on to start her travel agency, "Bell Travelers," where they traveled from state to state, casino to casino, and boat to boat.

Alice was baptized at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist church by the late L.R. Mitchell. She was an usher for her church for over 20 years. She sang in the church choir. Alice loved the Lord and being a servant for Him.

Alice loved being around friends and family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her laugh and smile would light up any room she stepped into. She made sure everyone had a smile on their face if she was around. She was the most caring and loving person you could meet, putting others before herself.

Alice wore many hats: mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. Alice was preceded in death by her daughters, Laura K Blackwell and Sherry L. Daniels; her father, David N. Porter; her mother, Laura L. Porter; her brother, David Nathan Porter, Jr.; and her sister, Bettie J. Porter Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Cassaundra L. Zeigler, Paige L. Pankey (Kevin), Kendryc M. Blackwell, Keshawn M. Blackwell, Kemuel M. Blackwell, and Morgan K. Daniels; her brother, Thomas J. Porter; her sisters, Mary H. Porter, Rev. Belinda P. Larkin, and Iretha Porter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and dear friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather from 11:30 am until 12:00 pm, on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Mason Village Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 8936 Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm.
