IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Algerrine Angie
Levy
September 5, 1947 – September 14, 2018
Algerrine Levy, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born September 5, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Loving, Funny, Real. These are just three words to describe Algerrine "Angie" Levy. She was a loving mother and friend to many. Her sense of humor could brighten anyone's day. And she would always give you her true and honest opinion with Godly advice. We are honored to celebrate her life and legacy.
Born on September 5, 1947, Angie was the eldest of three siblings (William Moon Jr. and Ronald Moon) born to William Moon Sr. and Florence Eliza (Dillard-Moon) Walker. She attended Courtier Technical High School, graduating in 1965. After high school, she traveled the world as the spouse of an Army service member, living in such diverse places as Germany, Panama, as well as Colorado and North Carolina. She later settled back in Cincinnati Ohio where she raised her son Sean and daughter Brandy. Sacrificing so much of herself to ensure her children experienced the best upbringing, she went back to college while working full-time to obtain a degree in accounting. She retired from GE Capital as one of the lead Fraud Investigators after 17 years of service.
Angie had a heart for community, family and children. She served many years as the president of a local apartment community in Price Hill, where she implemented key changes to secure the safety of the residents, such as installing a stop light at one of the busy intersections. After retirement, she worked as an office attendant for a Cincinnati public school. She was also a foster parent for a number of years, further dedicating herself to those in need.
Angie loved to sing and dance, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. But most importantly, it was Angie's love of God that sustained her through the years. She would often quote Philippians 4:13 which states "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Angie will be missed dearly, but her legacy lives on through her family and friends.
Angie is survived in love by her son Sean D. Williams (Quinnelle) and her daughter Brandy S. Sanghott (Cherif); her 8 grandchildren DeShawn, Dawuan, Donovan, Oumou, Abdoul, Zeynabou, Jacob and Lailah. Her brother William Moon Jr. (Erika Moon-Fannon and Family), the family of her late brother Ronald Moon (Veronica, April, Kym, Ronald Jr.), her aunt Jean (Dillard) Phillips, her uncle John Dillard, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
