On August 26, 1964 Alexis Renee' (Ferguson) Cowart was the third child born from the union of Roger Ferguson II and Joanna Ferguson.  Although she wasn't supposed to arrive until September, Renee' couldn't wait to get out, with her feisty self.  Renee' attended schools in Cincinnati, OH and later graduated from Hughes High School. In the late 70's, early 80's, Renee' met Timothy Cowart (whom she soon married). Shortly after, Renee' and Tim welcomed their 1st born and only son, Brian Ferguson.  Renee' and her family lived in Downtown Cincinnati for a few years, but later made a home in Covington, KY. Seven years later, they welcomed their last child and only daughter, Brittany Cowart.

Renee' was a very out-going person and always spoke her mind! Renee' also loved her family; the family she created and the family she was born too. Best believe, Renee' knew how to party!!!

Renee' was preceded in death by Tim on October 24, 2015; one brother, Roger Ferguson III in 2007; sister, Delenia Ferguson in 2013 and one nephew, Johnathan Ferguson in 2002.   Renee' leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memories: her parents, Roger Ferguson II and Joanna Ferguson; step-father, Bruce Moore; son, Brian Ferguson; daughter, Brittany Cowart; three grandsons, Evan Ferguson, Brandon Hoover and Brian Ferguson Jr.; one brother, Jerry Mahone; one step-brother, Bruce Pryor;  brothers-in-law; Anthony, Johnny, Ricky and Billy Cowart, also Michael Frazier; sisters-in-law, Sherry, Nervy, Marva, Angie, Niecy and Tricia Cowart and Diane McKinney; ten sisters, Carla and Brandi Ferguson, Valetta Mahone, Helen Adams Steed, Rashell, Rosalyn, Rolanda, Yvette, Tonya and Kim; 15 nephews; 22 nieces and a host of great nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friend, Loran Bryant, adoptive kids and grandkids.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home - Covington, 1129 Garrard Street, Covington  (41011).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery - Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, 2167 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky 41017.
