Alberta W. DeShazor, age 91, of Cincinnati passed away May 30, 2013 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was born April 15, 1922, in Red Jacket, Mingo County, West Virginia, to the late Henry Vance and Essie Ferguson Watts.  She married Albert Caldwell in 1939 who preceded her in death.  She remarried Collin W. DeShazor in 1951, who has also preceded her in death.

Alberta is survived by her three children, Albert, Cynthia, and Raymond all of whom reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Also a beloved niece Essie Wall of Wilmington, NC, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins and loving friends.

Alberta was a long time resident of Cincinnati where she lived since 1950.  She graduated from St. Francis Central School of Practical Nursing in Cincinnati in 1959.  Duyring her illustrious nursing career she wove a tapestry of care for all of the individuals who had the privilege of being "one of her patients".

Service 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Drive, Cincinnati (45217).  Father Reynaldo S. Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
