Albert Lee Rogers Sr. December 11, 1936 - December 26, 2022

On the morning of December 26th, 2022, heaven gained an angel. Albert (Al) Lee Rogers (86), born to Artis and Vallie Rogers on December 11, 1936 is preceded in transition by his wife Johnnie Rogers of 62 years, both parents, and brothers William (Willie) Rogers and Roy Rogers. He is survived by sisters Jean Collette and Laverne Johnson, sons Albert (Bump) Lee Rogers, Jr. (Sheena Rogers) and Trent Grant Rogers (Liz Rogers), daughter Phylesha Alexis Stiggers (Mark Stiggers), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, loved-ones and friends.

Al, born in Georgia, spent the majority of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served 4 years in the Airforce. He ran Billy's Bar for years and also worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler for over 30 years.

Al, Albert, Lee, Jim, Pops, Dad, Paw-Paw was a friend of many. He was the most kind-hearted, humble, and generous man. His smile was contagious and his heart was warm. He loved jazz music, movies, horse racing, Bengals, Tiger Woods, and peach ice cream. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. His soul is now at rest.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens.

In keeping with CDC Covid19 Guidelines, we encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
