Albert Roland Heard, Jr. age 71, passed away March 17, 2013. Albert Roland Heard, Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California on January 1, 1941. He was a New Year's Baby. He was a very smart young man who excelled in academics. Upon graduating High School, he enlisted and proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. He loved the game of basketball and considered himself a very good player in his league. Al was quite the charmer and this served him well as he came in contact with a lot of new friends while working as a bus driver for the RTD in Los Angeles, California. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family playing bid whist, listening to good music and having a good time. While in his early 40's he moved to Eugene, Oregon. He became an avid fisherman and really enjoyed going deep-sea fishing with his friends on the weekend. He worked many years for the James River Corporation and was an employee advocate in his local union. He eventually decided to retire in Cincinnati, Ohio where he met a lot of new friends. To know him was to love him. He was a very loyal Losa Angeles Lakers fan, he never (ever) missed a good party, he should have been a game show contestant (because he always knew the answer to the toughest question), he watched all sports (including marble tournaments), he was a food critic (showing his displeasure in creative ways), but most of all he was a loving man. He deeply loved his family and all of his children. He will be greatly missed. Funeral service 10:00am Monday, March 25, 2013, at Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati 45206.
