Share special messages with the Wilson family at www.HerbWalker.com. Al H. Wilson was born on October 22, 1935 in Greensboro, Alabama to George W. and Annie B. Wilson. Al, was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. After a three-month hospital stay due to multiple chronic illnesses, Al returned to his home to live out the last two months of his life. He passed away at his home peacefully on March 20, 2014 in the early hours of the morning with family present. Al's body was weak, but his spiritual energy was very strong. As a young adult, Mr. Wilson left Alabama, headed to Cincinnati joining his other relatives to find employment. His first job was at the Sixty-Second Restaurant on Torrance Ave, and the Frito Lay Company. Al later became employed with Cincinnati Milacron, working in the Factory Power Division, where he retired after 37 years of employment in 1997. After retirement, Al continued reading the Bible scriptures more and more; in fact, he STUDIED the scriptures for hours and hours writing line after line and page after page scriptures to reference latter. Most people did not understand Al, but if you understood the WORD then you could understand him better. Dad would always lead me in the right direction with his insight and wisdom, and no one could escape his scriptural quotes and explanations. In fact, he knew the scriptures so well that by the time you looked them up, he would have already quoted it and explained what the scripture meant. Mr. Wilson leaves behind two daughters Georgina Jones, and Tracey Grove of Cincinnati, Ohio, several grandchildren, Reginald, Melanie, Michael, and, Ryan Jones, Porsha and Ciara Crump, Ashley Wilcox, Robyn, Alicia, and Jaquan Grove; and four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Geraldine German, Doris Nell Wilson, and Gloria Lloyd, residing in Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Floyd (Lucy) Wilson of Saginaw, MI., and Joe Frank Wilson (Sharon Baxton) of Flint, MI., and a host of nieces, nephews residing in Ohio, Atlanta, Michigan and Maryland. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie B. Wilson, sisters, Ethel Pearl and Lottie B.; brothers, George E., George W., Clinton B. Lucious and Johnnie, grandsons, Steven Crump and Michael Wilcox, and a host of other relatives and friends.
