Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the heavenly transition of Aimee Shondell Stowers, age 50, of Covington, Kentucky,  who entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Covington,  Kentucky. She was born on Sunday, February 24, 1974, in Covington, Kentucky.

Her Journey

Aimee spent her entire life in Covington, Kentucky, growing up amidst the warmth and support of her large, close-knit family. Despite being the middle child of Kathleen, between her sisters April and Sheree, Aimee's dynamic personality always made her stand out. Though petite in stature, she was bold and possessed a remarkable presence that could fill any room.

She began her educational journey at the former Bishop Howard Elementary School and went on to graduate from Holmes High School. She played basketball and earned a college scholarship, receiving numerous awards and accolades throughout her athletic career in both high school and college. She belonged to a sisterhood of friends in school, self-proclaimed as 'CAH,' and they maintained their bond throughout adulthood.

After college, Aimee worked at various jobs before embarking on a dedicated and impactful career at A&P Technology, Inc., inspired by her aunt, Michelle Stowers, who also worked there. Over her 25-year+ tenure, Aimee excelled in various roles within production and management, earning numerous loyalty awards and the respect of her colleagues. She was also an active member of the Fun Team, organizing activities to foster a positive and engaging workplace environment. Known for her ever-present smile and unique ability to give everyone a fitting nickname, Aimee's vibrant personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

"Now the joy of my world is in Breven"

On May 5, 1999, Aimee Stowers and Eric Conrad welcomed to the world their son Breven Stowers-Conrad. To say that Breven was Aimee's pride and joy is an understatement. She beamed with pride every time she spoke of him, and her love for him was undeniable. Aimee worked to give Breven the very best and, in her style, dressed him from head to toe like the best-dressed kid on the planet.

To Know Her Was to Love Her

Aimee was known for her kind spirit, generosity, and sharp intellect, as well as her ability to make everyone laugh. She had a unique talent for storytelling, doing impersonations, and reenacting events like no one else. And she also gave the best hugs and was sure to tell you she loved you. She had a deep passion for politics and stayed constantly engaged with the latest political developments. She was also a fashionista, stayed fresh from head to toe!

Family was very important to her, and she cherished the connection. She was a mentor to her nieces Jasmine Horton and Samiya Stowers, and nephews Jalontai Wilson, Bracyn Liggins, and Samir Wilson,  among many. She was exceptionally understanding and caring when it came to their personal problems. And even when she had to give tough love, they knew it was ultimately with a soft touch because she cared deeply and wanted the very best for them.

Aimee was a proud homeowner who loved to host gatherings at her house. It became the go-to after-party spot, where friends and family would gather around the fire pit, watch fireworks, play cornhole, or simply laugh and share memories on the patio.

She loved to perform, often singing and dancing at events, when she wasn't writing poetry. She was a regular at the Stowers Thanksgiving celebrations, always participating in the annual Stowers Family Talent Show. Aimee never shied away from joining "New School" in the lively and fun "battles" against "Old School," comprised of her mom's siblings.

Simply put, Aimee was a bright light that will be deeply missed.
