Rickey Edward Cole Jr.

Rickey Edward Cole Jr., age 46, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, in Cincinnati, Ohio.   He was born  June 10, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  

Rickey was born June 10, 1973 to parents Yvonne & Rickey Cole in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was given the nickname of "DUNNIE" a few years later by his baby sister, Maria Cole (who preceded him in death) and that name just stuck. Most people knew him as "Dunnie Cole" and never even knew his given name. Rickey was a very bright and intelligent young man and he had a light about him that drew people to him. He had the gift of gab and could communicate with anyone on any level about anything. During high school he was a wiz at math, science and the solar galaxy. He had a beautiful mind and became beautiful man.

The Cole children were raised up in Mt. Auburn and the Pendleton areas of Cincinnati. During the early 1980's Rickey was baptized at Mt. Auburn Baptist Church by Reverend Allen Rogers and confessed his faith in Christ. As an adult he believed in a "higher power" or "supreme being" that definitely existed because he knew that there was something greater than mankind. Regardless of what name you give him, he knew that there was a "GOD".

During his lifetime, Rickey fathered three sons: DeAirus Jackson, Norman Shaw and Kyreique Cole. They all have their father's good looks and charm and they all had his love. 

Rickey is lovingly remembered by his mother, Yvonne Bell-Kirkland; father, Rickey Cole Sr.; step­father, Michael Kirkland Sr.; sister, Tracey Bell; brother-in-law, Charles Clingman; sister, Maria Cole-Johnson (preceded him in death); step-siblings, Cole Family and Kirkland Family; nephew, Carl Godfrey; nephew, Jah'Miko Cole; nephew, Brian Johnson Jr.; niece, Maria Clingman; aunts and uncles: Marvin (Christa) Hunter, Alice (Steven) Jennings, Charles (Janet) Bell, Etonia Hawkins, Robert (Shawn) Bell, J.B. (Helen) Bell, Diana Williams, Harold (Audrey) Bell, Lawrence Bell, Bud Johnson, Laura Neal, Pamela Johnson, J.D. Johnson and Marie Shannon; cousins: William (Treista) Johnson, Myron Johnson, Angel Johnson, Michelle Bell, Nicole Bell, Frankie J. Bell (preceded him in death), Markita Robinson, Eugene (Kendra) Shannon, Carlos Shannon, Alsha (David) Jones, Charles Terry Adkins and Ryan Gates. There are many, many cousins, aunts and uncles, so please forgive us if your name is not listed. Just know that we love and appreciate you.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home - McMILLAN STREET CHAPEL, 1025 E. McMillan Street , Cincinnati  (45206).  The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
