John C. Jordan Jr. was born June 9, 1951 to the union of Ole Mae Nixon and John C. Jordan Sr. He was the second of three children. His parents, sister, Geraldine Ingram and his granddaughter, Ly’Daysha Jordan, all preceded him in death.
John grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the Cincinnati Public Schools System. John was a hard-working man who worked all his life until he got sick. John loved football, especially the Bengals, capping, laughing, and spending quality time with his family. He was a caring and loving person.
John married Janice Jordan in 2011 and they lived happily together until his death, He was previously married twice before. These previous marriages led him to be blessed with a daughter, Tanisha (Kevin) Malone and John C. Jordan II. His grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Ty’Asia Jordan, Kevin Malone Jr., John C. Jordan III, Mir Jordan, Lamir Jordan, Lontasia Jordan, Luntez Jordan, Yo’marie Jordan.
Upon his union to Janice he became a stepfather to Shavonya, Charles, Laundray, Terry, Perez and Paris Crossty and Fernardo Miller. He became step-grandfather to ten beautiful children. He gained a mother-in-law, Mary Crossty and a wonderful stepbrother, Jeffrey Crossty.
He had an amazing and loving little brother, Kenny Pritchett. He was a loving uncle to four nieces and nephews: Anthony, Michael, Alfred, Sheila, Erica, Leslie, Kenny Jr. and Michelle, and a great loving host of family and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery.
