Charles Lee Pride was born September 9, 1944 to Rosco Lindon Pride and Lovetta Smith Pride in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born 7th of 10 children in which he was the second to youngest son. After relocating to Cincinnati, in his early childhood, Charles and his family resided in Avondale.
Charles worked at Dalton Roofing for several years; however, he was injured on the job and was unable to work since August 15, 1995. Charles married Barbara Beasley Pride (deceased) and they raised their family together. Charles was a very hard worker and great father to all his children.
Charles loved his children, family and friends. He was a smooth and down to earth guy and loved him some soul classic music. He also always loved to dress to impress and look his best. He never missed a beat with his self-appearance. He also loved watching golf and cowboy movies.
Charles leaves behind to cherish his memories, his children, Charlene, Debra, Charles II, Charles III, Chad, Lauri and Charletta (Red), Keith, Karen and Andre; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and friends.
​Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Walker Life Celebration Center - McMILLAN STREET CHAPEL, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
