Sheila Perkins

Shelia Jean Perkins was born on October 19, 1955 at The Jewish Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
She was raised by Elizabeth Chatman and Thomas Chatman in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shelia Perkins graduated from Hughes High School. She later worked for the City of Cincinnati, Elm Street Health Clinic, and University Hospital.

She was known to family and friends as Jean.Her hard work and loving spirit has touched many and she was a blessing to everyone. She loved traveling and was able to take many exotic trips exploring the world and the great things it has to offer. Anybody who knows Jean knows that she
loved shopping and the holiday, Christmas especially. She was always kind and generous to all. Her grandchildren were her world and meant everything and more to her. She would often say 'My babies are perfect!' She was a strong woman who has taken care of many people along the way and it was a blessing just to know her. She walked through life never giving up and always made sure her family never went without. She will never be forgotten and her spirit lives on we love you Shelia Jean Perkins, Rest in Heaven.

She leaves to mourn, Her mother Elizabeth Chatman, Her father Thomas Chatman, One daughter Chaunda Perkins and One son Kendall Perkins, two grandchildren Kenyon Perkins and Kacie Perkins, Seven sisters Willa Mae Boler who preceded her in death, Jacqueline Toney, Victoria Bowman, Ruth Ann Bowman, Jennifer Bowman, Kimberly Bowman, and Lisa Ann Chatman, two brothers Thomas Chatman Jr. and Calvin Bowman. A host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Walker-Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillian Street, Cincinnati (45206).with visitation from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
