Obituary for Phillip Lillard

Phil Lillard of Hamilton, OH., born August 25,1932, passed away on June 13, 2017, at his home in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1952, after playing both football and basketball for Big Blue. In 2005, Hamilton High School elected him into their Athletic Hall of Fame. After high school, he went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army, and then retired from Champion Paper Company. Phil loved sports, fishing, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed being around his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Phil Lillard, his mother, Ruby Phipps Brown, his sister, Choicy Smith, his ex-wife, Geraldine Byrd, and sons: Anthony (Mark), Phillip, Kenneth and Ray Lillard. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Lillard, his son, Jerome Lillard, and sisters, Margaret and Paula. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren: Kendall Lillard, Melva(Scott) Lankheit, Angel Johnson, Jeremy(Keisha) Harris, Kenyatta Harris, Tyrone McGee, Kenneth Jr., Mark Jr Lillard., Markela Lillard, Nikkia Lillard, David Anthony; 19 great grandchildren, and his only great great grandson, Kamden Alexander.


Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the Walker- Hamilton Chapel, 532 South Second Street, Hamilton (45011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
