Marion Rollin Gamble was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 12, 1954. He grew up in the neighborhood of Avondale and was one of nine children of Roland and Doris Gamble. He attended Rockdale Elementary and Hughes High School.

Marion served in the United States Army. He was drafted right out of high school due to the Viet Nam War. In 1974, Marion returned home from his military service. Marion then met and fell deeply in love with Coreatter McCloud. In 1977, Marion and Coreatter were married. During that time, he earned a living. A living, working with his father. Roland and his older brother, Nate in their family construction company, N&R Construction. He then worked at General Motors and later became a private contractor, repairing homes and businesses throughout the Cincinnati Metropolitan area.

Marion was very creative and loved working with his hands. He enjoyed practicing martial arts, photography, painting and designing. Marion also enjoyed playing chess, working in his garden, bike riding and watching his favorite television shows.

Marion leaves many loved ones behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Coreatter Gamble; his four children, Marion (Lashanda) Gamble II, Correy Gamble, Arland (Joy) Gamble, Doris Gamble; twelve grandchildren along with his brother, sisters, an abundance of nieces, nephews, many friends and loved ones.

If we have forgotten to show our gratitude enough for all the things you did, we're thanking you now and we are hoping you knew all along how much you meant to us all.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
