Bianca Ward Barnes

Bianca Ward Barnes beloved daughter born to the union of Phillip & Darlene Barnes was born on May 24, 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bianca went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Her grandfathers; Harvey Hankerson and Henry Ward Barnes Jr.; and her twin brothers (during birth) preceded her in death.

Bianca graduated from Purcell Marion High School in 2001. She was a member of the high school marching band for four years. She was a “Christian Youth Counselor”, students who reached out to peers in need of emotional support. She also participated in several Student Organizations always advocating for academic improvement between students and teachers.

Bianca accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was a member at United Abundant Life Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She loved to travel; she visited Rome and went to Vatican City twice. She loved spending time with her best friend (Delores) and enjoyed dinners out with family.

Family was one of the most important things in the world to Bianca. She loved music, reading and mystery themed shows. She loved to cook and watch the cooking channel. Her favorite dishes to prepare were Casseroles with different types of sauces. One of the things she looked forward to the most was watching the Twilight Zone marathon every New Year’s Eve with family, “it was our family thing”.

She leaves to cherish her memory: loving and devoted parents Philecia Ward Barnes and Darlene Barnes (Anthony); loving sister Tralana Ward Barnes (Will), her nephew and niece Langston Ward Barnes and Alana Ward Barnes both she adored and they adored her; Aunt Erica Denise Taylor (Jordan), cousins Leith J Taylor, and Aelyse E Taylor; uncles, Norman W Barnes, Dwayne W Barnes (Karen) and Keith W Barnes; best friend Delores Cooper and a host of relatives and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers: Langston Ward Barnes, Leith Jordan Taylor, Jordan Taylor, George Sims, Jr., Paul Cooper, Paul Cooper Jr.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Ceders Lebanon Chapel & Memorial Mausoleum, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232 The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Strayhorn officiating.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ohio.
